Fatima is a third year Ph.D. student in biological sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan. Her research focuses on molecular sieving properties of polymers on protein surface. She is also interested in designing conjugates that are densely coated with dendritic polymers. In the future, she hopes to use these polymer-based techniques to improve the efficacy of protein-based therapeutic technology. In her spare time, Fatima enjoys learning history and her hobbies include reading and swimming.
